PETR BREZNA – CZECH REPUBLIC

Men’s Bodybuilding over 100 kg

The hottest Czech bodybuilder! Superheavyweight giant of 137 kg off-season and 120 kg on-stage bodyweight. Only one international start at 2011 Arnold Europe and the 3rd place. Improving definition and some muscle details he has predispositions to be a new king of the over 100 kg category. It’s only a matter of time. Will it happen in Columbus this year?

DAMIAN WITKOWSKI – POLAND

Men’s Classic Bodybuilding up to 175 cm

Great come back after over ten-year break. Won the 2011 Cup of Poland and then went to the 2011 World Classic Bodybuilding Championships in Tallinn, Estonia, losing only to the later overall winner Konstantin Paskalev. Usually shows extremely dried, full of details and hard muscles. If in shape, will be able to fight for the top trophy.

IFBB STARS COMING TO THE 2012 ARNOLD AMATEUR (part 7)

MARTA AGUIAR – URUGUAY

Women’s Fitness over 163 cm

Marta will come to Columbus to defend her title won a year ago, when she placed ahead of the world champion Tatiana Dvortsova. Marta won her first national title in 1997 and her first South American victory in 2002 but she has begun to be successful at the world level in 2010, finishing 3rd at the Women’s Worlds in Mexico City. Her top achievements came in 2011, with Arnold America and South American Championships victories as well as 2nd place at Arnold Europe in Madrid. She also placed in the top of the Pan-American Games and Women’s Worlds. Having this long list of top achievements and beautiful, refined body she will be the favourite of the upcoming 2012 Arnold America in Columbus, USA.

illnew01-1.jpg

MICHELA FRE – ITALY

Women’s Bodyfitness up to 170 cm (Class E)

After 3 years of successful starts in the other organization, Michela moved to the IFBB in 2011 and it was a very impressive inauguration. She placed 2nd at the Arnold Europe in Madrid, just behind Eleni Kritikopoulou, and finished 4th at the Women’s Worlds in Novi Sad. She is in a very good position to fight for higher places and, maybe, even victory now.

illnew01-2.jpg

JESSICA BALDEON – PERU

Women’s Bodyfitness up to 163 cm (Class C)

First time at the South American Championships in 2003 (3rd place). Participated in many Ibero-American, Pan-American and South American Championships as well as other national and South USA contests. After few-year break returned to the stage last year and grasp the continental title. Her next serious test will be this year at the Arnold America, where she will have the next opportunity to confirm her top bodyfitness quality.

DANIELA SANTARELLI – PARAGUAY

Women’s Masters Bodyfitness up to 163 cm (Medium Class)

Won her first South American Championships in 2003, adding the overall title in 2004. Following a few-year break returned in 2010 and took the gold medal in masters bodyfitness category, defending it in 2011 also. This year she will have an opportunity to improve her 6th place at the 2011 Arnold America. Charming lady with distinguished and nicely sculpted body.

illnew01-4.jpg

MICHAL SITTER – CZECH REPUBLIC

Men’s Classic Bodybuilding up to 180 cm

He started to compete in bodybuilding at the 1999 IFBB Juniors Worlds. Then had had a longer break and returned as a classic bodybuilder in 2008, quickly advancing to the world top elite. His life achievement was the 2010 World Championships gold medal. In 2011 he participated in the Arnold America only, coming 2nd, behind the overall winner Jerzy Pisulski. This year Pisulski will not come and Sitter will have a great opportunity to add the next prestigious title to his collection.

illnew01-5.jpg

VUSUMZI NJISANE – SOUTH AFRICA

Men’s Bodybuilding up to 100 kg

The real “Black Pearl” from South Africa, also known as the “Bulldozer”. Due to the outstanding body proportions he is often compared to Victor Martinez or even Ronnie Coleman as he also works as police officer. At the 2011 Men’s Worlds he placed 7th in the 100 kg category, displaying no so sharp definition. Quickly progressing, he will be a demanding challenger at the 2012 Arnold America.

btw, is that photo of Marius Dohne by mistake here or does he look exactly like Dohne...

ANDRIY SHARAPOV – UKRAINE

Men’s Bodybuilding up to 80 kg

Appeared at the international level in 2009 and a year later won the bronze medal at the Men’s Worlds in Baku. Very promising shorter bodybuilder, with impressive shoulders and lats. Will try to show his best in 80 kg category and will probably move up to the heavier class later on. His return match against the famous Egyptian Mahmoud El Fadaly seems to be top exciting.

illnew01-7.jpg

BADER SULTAN – BAHRAIN

Men’s Bodybuilding up to 75 kg

Started his bodybuilding career in 60 kg class at the 2005 Asian Championships, then moved up to 70 kg category at the latest Men’s Worlds in Mumbai, where he entered the finals. In Columbus will battle in the heavier category up to 75 kg, displaying even bigger muscles. 30 years old passport officer from Saar. Won also 2010 Gulf Countries Beach Games in Manama. His evenly developed muscularity needed only a bit better quality and details. Having this, will be able to enter the top three at least.

illnew01-8.jpg

MOHSEN GHORANNEVIS – IRAN

Men’s Classic Bodybuilding up to 180 cm

Began as a heavyweight bodybuilder at the 2009 Men’s Worlds in Doha, Qatar. Then dropped around 15 kg of bodyweight and moved to Classic Bodybuilding. Won the 2009 Classic Worlds but lost the title due to the doping problems. In 2010 won several local NPC contest in USA and in 2011 returned to the IFBB Classic Worlds, trying to regain the title. Had it after the first day but dropped to the 4th place in the finals. Promising potentials but unstable body conditions. Maybe this time in Columbus everything will go smoothly…

Michelle Blank withdraws from Fitness International due the injury

http://www.hardbody.com/news/2012/02/13/hardbody-exclusive-michelle-blank-out-of-the-arnold-with-an-injury/

The Arnold Sports Festival is just over two weeks away and one of the highlights of the weekend is the Ms. Fitness International. IFBB Pro Michelle Blank was set to compete at this year’s event however she’s had an unfortunate turn of events. Today, Michelle was forced to withdraw from the event due to a calf injury. It’s definitely a bummer for any competitor to sustain an injury but even more so for Michelle as she’s been on a roll in the pro ranks. I caught up with Michelle to get the scoop on what happened and what’s next.
