The fourth edition of this championship counted with 6 of all the 7 Central American countries: Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and the host country, Costa Rica.The Championships, organized by the Federation of Costa Rica and its President, Mr. Edgar Sánchez, under the guidance of the Central American BodyBuilding Federation and its President Eng Eduardo Abdalah, also held the Central American Congress. BodyBuilding has become a very popular sport in Central America, due its recognition by the Regional Olympic Organization in the area. Another signal of this is the upcoming IFBB World Junior and Master Championships, which is going to be celebrated in another Central American country, the Republic of El Salvador.
