MONGOLIA READY TO HOST THE IFBB WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

by Andrew Michalak

Mongolia is the third Central Asian country, after Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, to host one of the biggest IFBB international championships. Telling the truth, it is the biggest IFBB championships, after the Arnolds. Mongolia is going to organize the World Juniors and Masters Championships – the event usually attended by more than 400 athletes and officials! This is a challenge for Mongolian Federation and Mongolian Sport Authorities. But Mongolia has got some experience hosting 2008 East Asian and 2011 Asian Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships. They also organized 2010 IPF Asian Powerlifting Championships and will host 2013 Asian Bench Press Championships in September, so Mongolia has begun to be very active in sport, especially in strength and physique sports.

Very active Mongolian Federation General Secretary and AFBF Vice-President Ochir Ganbaatar participated in the latest AFBF Congress in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and assured that the Championships had got full support from the Mongolian authorities and the Government.

To continue this cooperation and elaborate all details, IFBB General Secretary Assistant Eng. Rauf Bunyataliyev visited Ulaanbaatar in the middle of June and discussed all topic issues with the Mongolian hosts. He met Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Mongolia, Her Excellency Oyungerel Tsedevdamba, Department of Physical Culture and Sport Chairman D. Jargalsaikhan, Organizing Committee management and had a press conference at the Mongolian Sport TV channel. Mrs. Oyungerel expressed her deep satisfaction with the fact that the IFBB World Championships will take place in Mongolia and promised full support in preparation and holding the Championships in Ulaanbaatar.

“The Championships will undoubtedly have a complete financial and organizational support from the Government” – Mr. Bunyataliyev told us. “Mongolian Federation is strong and enjoys great respect and support in the country and that gives us a huge organizational resource. We will solve the problem with the air tickets as they are very expensive. I had a meeting with the leaders of the National Air Company and they assured me of their absolute support in this matter” - he added. We will inform on the progress in this matter as soon as possible, when more details are known.

Taking into account Mr. Bunyataliyev’s report and his previous talks with the Mongolian authorities, IFBB President Dr. Rafael Santonja concluded – “We gave Mongolia and Mr. Ochir Ganbaatar our full trust and now we are promoting the event, supporting them with all our experience, knowledge and personal advice. Now we will keep this attitude all the way. We will have to work hard to achieve a good participation from Europe, expecting an increase of participation from Asia.”

This IFBB support and guidance for the Organizing Committee will be continued on the regular basis. “The organizers do not have enough experience in preparations of so big international sport events and that is why I am leaving for Ulaanbaatar on August 5th, 2013, to coordinate the work of the Organizing Committee.” – Mr. Bunyataliyev added.

Based on the above, IFBB top juniors and masters can consistently continue their trainings and preparations. Taking into account that the date of this year’s Juniors and Maters Worlds is a bit earlier than usual (October 24th – 26th, 2013) the pre-contest cycle should start in midsummer for men and at the beginning of July for women. Good luck!

Ergo Metsla.

Mongoolias on ilm selline, et öösiti kuni -15 kraadi külma....

Koopia Natalia kirjutamisest facebookis:

Moskvas transiittsoonis küsiti Natalialt, kas tal on dokumendid last väljaviimiseks piiritaha. Natalia küsis, et millistest lastest jutt käib? Nagu selgus, et Endlast ja Kristiinas just nendest väikestest lastest.... :D

Tüdrukud on heas vormis, loodame parimat! Homme hommikul peaks juba pilt selgemaks saama, sest neil eelvõistlus kohe hommikul ja õhtu poole finaalid, ehk siis meie aja järgi peale lõunat.
