The champ - Kim Tilden, who turned pro in figure but til this season switched to physique division, took her very first pro show victory. Personally, I would have liked to see another canadian ex-figure competitor Debbie Leung (nr 97) to take the title.

The saying “Once a bodybuilder, always a bodybuilder” applies to Lisa Giesbrecht both literally and figuratively. Geisbrecht, who earned her pro card by winning the Master’s Overall at last year’s North Americans, had been competing in bodybuilding her entire career until deciding to switch to Women’s Physique for the Governor’s Cup in March. Standing 5’8″ and weighing close to 170 pounds, Giesbrecht found out pretty quickly that the new division wasn’t for her.

So what to do? Come back home to bodybuilding, which is exactly what Giesbrecht did for the Toronto Pro. The decision proved to be a smart one, as she beat out a lineup that include two top-five finishers from this year’s Ms. International to earn win No. 1 of her IFBB career.

Kim Buck, who placed 5th at this years Ms. International, placed second while England’s Wendy McCready finished third. Cathy LeFrancois, the precontest favorite who was coming off a 4th place finish at the Ms. International, fell to 7th.

Bikini division was surprisingly won by brand new pro Polliana Moss (nr 83) who just a one week ago turned pro at NPC Jr Nationals. Jennifer Chapman (2nd, with nr 77) and Yeshaira Robles (3rd) rounded out the top three while pre contest favorite Dianna Dahlgren (top 3 at the 2011 Olympia) fell to fifth.

Some other notes...

Seth Feroce's showing was not that impressive after all expectations and he could not even make it to the first call out ..

85078.jpg85093.jpg

Legendary FBBer Cathly LeFrancois was definitely one of the clearest pre-show favorites, but made one of her worst showings and fell to the 7th place..

Scorecard - http://www.ifbbpro.c..._scorecard4.gif

Rosalind Vanterpool has been competing FOR years, always getting low placings even though her physique have been KILLING good past years. Finally she took the very first pro victory during her long career on the stages.. imo this was not her best though.
