Arnold Classic & Arnold Amateur 2012

Recommended Posts

MD's Euro-Muscle Scene travels all the way down to sunny Wales this time out to visit with Welshman and current UKBFF light-heavyweight British champ Jon Griffith. At 4 weeks out from making his first contest appearance at the amateur Arnold in Columbus, Jon shares with us his story of how he made it back from a serious quad tendon injury where Doc's told him he might never be able to walk or train 100% ever again. Fast forward to 2012 and here he is going in to Ohio as one of the possible front runners in one of the biggest amateur shows on Earth! Add to that his pre-contest chest training and showing us all some crazy-ass conditioning Jon proves why he is so deserving of the title - 'Euro-Freak'! Part One.

Look out! He's got the "Eye of the Tiger!" Slovakian Stefan Havlik hooked us up with another intense video that catches the 2010 European Amateur Championships overall winner training in preparation for the 2012 Arnold Classic Amateur. What do you think? Does he really have the "Eye of the Tiger?" Will it help him become the next Arnold Amateur Champion and follow in the footsteps of Roelly Winklaar and Essa Obaid? Will he "rise up to the challenge of his rivals?" We shall see in Columbus, Ohio on March 3!

Dennis Wolf smashes chest a 3 1/2 weeks out from the 2012 Arnold Classic. This video was shot Monday, February 6. Wolf says he weighs 279 lbs and is felling good going into the Arnold. On a sour note, this may be the last chest workout we film at the famous Gold's Gym at the corner of Flamingo and Sandhill in Las Vegas Nevada. The iconic gym where we have shot countless photos and videos for MD is planning on closing later this month.

Ma viitasin sellele, et laseb 210kg kangil lambist rinnal seista ja siis surub üles, seda veel korduste peale.

Ei sellist pulli ei mina veel näinud, et alumine asend sellise raskusega hästi puhkamiseks sobib....

IFBB STARS COMING TO THE 2012 ARNOLD AMATEUR (part 6)

by Andrew Michalak

I have a pleasure to present the next eight top champions nominated to the 2012 Arnold Amateur Championships. You will see great physiques, new talents and successful returns.

The official nomination deadline: January 31st, 2012 has passed, so we have almost a complete list of nominated athletes but still several countries are “in touch” with the organizers, hoping to get US visas very soon. The current list of countries shows 53 participating nations but 60 is an expected number, so the event looks great!

The next eight stars within few days. Stay tuned!

ALESSANDRA BARATA PINHEIRO - BRAZIL

Women’s Bodyfitness up to 170 cm (Class E)

She will come in a glory of the 2011 Arnold America champion, so will do her best to stay on the throne. She has been quickly moving up in a world bodyfitness hierarchy, beginning with the 5th place at the 2008 South American Championships and then finishing in the top ten at the 2010 Worlds. 2011 Arnold’s victory showed her great positive body transformation, so if she continues this trend, who will be able to stop her?

That year she advanced to the world elite, coming 3rd at the Women’s Worlds in Mexico City. She confirmed her top body quality at the 2011 Amateur Olympia (3rd place) and 2011 Arnold Europe (4th place). It’s a right time to think about higher places and she is ready to do it!
